Best Place for Spring Break in Florida
Panama City Beach, Florida has been voted by college students as the NUMBER ONE place for Spring Break!
Collegiate Marketing Group, conducted a study by polling 5,000 students asking where they plan to go for Spring Break of 2015. The students were asked to compare six popular hot spots that include: Daytona Beach, South Padre Island, Myrtle Beach, South Beach Miami, Cancun (the only non U.S. destination) and Panama City Beach.
The students overwhelmingly voted Panama City Beach as the number one destination by 87%!
Why Panama City Beach?
Rated number one beach in the 1995 survey of the world’s beaches, and the number four beach in America by The Travel Channel in 2000, Panama City Beach is truly the mainland paradise.
Panama City Beach is a fan favorite because it’s one of America’s hottest travel spots with more than six million visitors every year. Spring Break takes Panama City Beach to a whole new level, however. They say Panama City Beach is as well known as it is BECAUSE of Spring Break.
Panama City Beach sits along the Northwest Florida panhandle and is easily accessible by driving or flying. People come here for the amazing beaches, sparkling blue waters and sub-tropical weather. They keep coming back due to the affordable hotel rates and fabulous dining experiences.
For students looking to break free from the mundane of the school year, look no further than Panama City Beach’s elite night life which includes phenomenal clubs that host some of the most talked about events each year!

Since 2004, Panama City Beach holds Friday Fest the first Friday of every month from February to November. If you’re familiar with this tradition of over a decade old, you may be thinking, “it just ended last month”! However, we’re thinking more along the lines of “it’s about to start up again in just over a month!”
Friday Fest is presented by the Downtown Improvement Board. At Friday Fest, Panama City comes alive with music, food and fun from 6pm to 10 pm on the first Friday of every month.
You can expect to see things such as over 200 car shows, over 50 vendors, and live bands that cover six blocks of Harrison Avenue. Local shops and restaurants stay open late…until the festivities die down at 10pm.
This is Bay County’s largest street festival. Whether you’re a regular, or you have never been to this fabulous festival, grab a friend and shop, eat and make merry at Friday Fest! There’s no excuse for not having a good time on Friday night when it’s Friday Fest night!
If you’d like to be a vendor at Friday Fest, the deadline for applications is the Friday BEFORE each festival and payment is required with it to hold your space. It is recommended that you get your applications in early to avoid space filling up and being turned away.
If you have a band you’d like to have play at Friday Fest, you should call 850-785-2554.
For more details and information on Friday Fest contact Panama City Downtown Improvement Board at 850-785-2554 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
