Unless you are from Florida, one of the best things about Panama City Beach is the warmer weather. In addition to that, here are five great reasons to visit Panama City Beach this Christmas.
#1. The weather.
This has to be mentioned as one of the best reasons to visit. Depending on where you are from, most places are getting hit with some cold snaps already. I just listened to the weather report this morning, as of the publishing of this post and some of the northern states were already down below freezing temperatures at night. While in sunny Panama City Beach Florida, we are a beautiful 75° to 85° this time of year. You can still lounge on the beach, enjoy warm weather far into the evening, and hang onto your summer attire just a little bit longer.
#2. Great deals are to be had.
Now is a great time for a Florida vacation since the deals are so cheap. Whether you are looking for a condo to rent in Panama City Beach, hotel or resort, you can certainly snag some great deals and bargains this time of year. If you want to snag even a better deal, go before the kids get out of school or just after the main Christmas vacation. You can save hundreds of dollars for the same hotel or condo room then have you stayed in the middle of spring break or summer.
You may also start a great deal at restaurants, sports bars, and entertainment facilities. Check places like Groupon.com before you go and make sure that you don’t sign up for a coupon the day you want to use it. As long as you sign up 24 hours before, you can have some great deals on entertainment, food, and fun.
#3. You can enjoy the Christmas season stress-free.
Now, that might be stretching it a little bit but it also depends on when you travel and where you are going. You won’t have to worry about the hustle and bustle of department stores or getting the right toy this time of year. Spend the money on a vacation and an experience rather than things. You can also have a stress free Christmas when you plan to eat out for nearly all of your meals. If you choose to rent a condo on the beach, most have kitchenettes or even full kitchens that are perfect for breakfast and lunch, allowing you to save a little bit of money and schedule a nice dinner out.
#4. Experience holiday events different than what you’re used to.
There are so many cool things to do in Panama City Beach during Christmas time. The Festival of trees is a festive and favorite Bay County Christmas tradition. Volunteers decorate and then donate trees and wreaths up for an auction benefiting Bethel Village helping needy people by providing food, shelter, and clothing.
The Dickens of a Christmas is held in downtown Panama City nearly every year and it is three nights only of family fun. It’s the first three Fridays of December and you can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, free ice-skating, carolers, entertainment and kids activities.
The annual Boat Parade of Lights is awesome in St. Andrews Marina. This typically happens around the second week of December where dozens of boats lineup, decorated with lights and create a dramatic look against the black sky. This is a stunning spectacle with thousands of beautiful reflections in the water. Many vendors will be on-site serving hot food and drinks as well as live music, a Christmas market, and entertainment.
#5. Create a new memory and/or tradition.
While this could go for anywhere, Christmas on the beach is a memory not to be soon forgotten. It’s a great way to ring in the new year or simply have a one-of-a-kind memory with something new and different. Comes enjoy Christmas in a new place, a new memory and create a tradition to last a lifetime. It’s a totally different experience if you’ve never had Christmas somewhere warm. We want to be that warm place! Come, and enjoy Christmas in Panama City Beach this year.
