For most of us older parents, we remember this TV show and now our kids can enjoy some of the oddities, weird and unusual items and stories brought to life in this museum. Whether you have a small child or a teenager, it will be a great place to explore especially if you’re looking for a place to cool off on a hot summer afternoon or somewhere inside on a rainy day. The museum is located at 9901 Front Beach Road. Tickets are between $18 and $28.
Wonderworks – If you’ve noticed that upside down building on Panama City Beach’s Front Beach Road you know you’re in for a treat. Any rainy day or hot summer day is a perfect time to explore this topsy-turvy fun. This is Panama City Beach’s only upside down house. Wonderworks is a science exploration with over 100 hands-on interactive exhibits, experiments and rights. It’s a great place to spend the entire day with plenty to do such as vertical G-Force Rides, swim with virtual sharks or stand in hurricane winds. Tickets start at just $19 for kids.
Zoo World – This inside/outside venue offers over 300 animals including 20 endangered Species. Whether you want to snuggle with a lemur, feed the giraffes, or see a Bengal tiger up close and personal, you can do it at Zoo World. With tropical birds, reptiles, amphibians, exotic animals and more. Zoo World combines the traditional zoo with unique animal up close and personal experiences. Families can go on a private giraffe tour, snuggle endangered lemurs in the lemur encounter or walk-through of free flight aviary with hundreds of exotic and colorful birds. Zoo World is located at 9008 Front Beach Road and they offer daily admission prices starting at just $13 with children under 2 free and annual passes starting at just $45.

Shipwreck Island Water Park – This unique water Park is located at 12201 Hutchison Blvd. and is perfect for kids of all ages. From smaller kiddie pools and splash parks to hair-raising daredevil waterslides, there’s something for everyone at this waterpark. Simply want to relax? Grab a floaty and head down the lazy river. Looking for a swimming pool? You won’t find a better one than their wave pool. Looking for a rush? Check out the Pirates Plunge or the Tree Top Drop. Season passes are available and all day admission passes start at just $24 each. They have all day admission passes for children 35 inches and below that are absolutely free.
Shell Island – This unique historical landmark is a great place to spend the day while visiting Panama City Beach. This favorite spot is perfect for locals and visitors alike. This 7 mile long underdeveloped barrier island runs east to west between the Gulf of Mexico and the St. Andrews Bay. This is Florida nature at its finest. You’ll find sand dunes, hammocks, inland lakes, wildlife and shorebirds as well as a great spot to go beachcombing. This natural environment is perfect for getting away and enjoying the quiet and peaceful nature of Southwest Florida. Because of its rustic environment you won’t find concession stands, restaurants, picnic tables, trash receptacles or restrooms so please take everything you brought with you back when you leave. SeaDragon Pirate Cruise – This unique adventure is perfect for any family member that loves the sea and Pirates. This is one of the area’s premier vacation attractions. A2 hour cruise offer something for everyone including exceptional sightseeing, wildlife viewing and beautiful St. Andrews Bay. But that’s not all, in addition to the beautiful view, the pirate ship will feature singing, dancing and activities on the main deck. There’s a children’s area at the park complete with carousel, climbing wall, children’s activities, a child sized train and other attractions such as the mirror maze and laser craze and grand theater. With lots of places to eat, snacks to enjoy and activities happening daily, you won’t get bored at Miracle Mile and Pier Park.
