Easter is coming! There are some fun events and things to do around Panama City Beach this Easter.
Easter Celebration at Schooners – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 14 through the 16th, 2017 at Schooners, there will be the local Beach Easter egg hunt. This old-fashioned Easter egg hunt featuring prizes, candy, gift certificates and even trophies awarded in each division. There will be a giant annual Easter sand castle built by Beach Sand Sculptures.
There are different age groups and a schedule of events are as follows:
0 – 2 age starts at 10:00 AM
3 – 4 age starts at 10:30 AM
5 – 6 age starts at 11:00 AM
7 – 9 age starts at 11:30 AM
Space is limited so make sure you register starting at 8:45 AM. There will be a breakfast on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM and a Sunday brunch from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. There are Bloody Marys and mimosas specials.
There will be an audible Easter egg hunt for the visually impaired on April 12 at the Gulf Beach Baptist Church.
There will be an Easter egg scramble at Pier Park starting Saturday at 12 o’clock noon. This is for children ages 10 and under where they can collect candy-filled eggs and participate in arts and crafts. The event takes place near Dillards between Chico’s and Lane Bryant.
The Grand Lagoon is hosting an old fashioned Easter stroll & Ferry ride from 10 to 2 on Saturday with free ferry rides for bonnet-wearers. There will be egg trails and an egg coloring at the farmers market Capt. Anderson’s on Thomas Drive.
On Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 AM will be the Easter egg hunt at Frank Brown Park fields 5 through 9. You can get your picture with the Easter Bunny followed by the Easter egg hunt. This is for ages 10 and under and each age group has their own field in which they will be hunting. There are over 10,000 Easter eggs this year so don’t forget your Easter basket.
Different churches around Panama City Beach will also be holding their own Easter services. The Gulf Beach Baptist Church is holding a sunrise service at the MB Miller Pier at 6:30 AM. The Woodlawn Methodist Church is hosting an 8:30 AM service as well on the beach behind the Sharkey’s Beach club. They also hosting a 7:30 AM sunrise service at the Pavilion behind the Wyndham Bay point resort. The Eastgate Christian Fellowship is hosting a beachside service at Rick Seltzer Park at 6:00 AM.
