It’s Mardi Gras in Panama City Beach! This is one of the top places a celebrate Mardi Gras outside of NOLA. The event happens the Pier Park on February 24 and 25th with lots of food, music, kids activities and beads for all. You’ll find multiple parades for both kids and adults and of course music late into the night every night.
Not only do we have one of the worlds most beautiful beaches, but we have one of the best Mardi Gras festivals in the country. The festival is always held the weekend before Fat Tuesday and events start on Friday, February 24 at 4:00 PM with float tours, kids fun zone and the opening of the festival Village. At 5:00 PM will be kids costume contests and the kids parade. Live music will kick off with Waylon Thibodeaux and another parade at 7:00 PM with fireworks at 7:30 PM.
On Saturday, get up early for the 7 AM Mardi Gras 5K run. The kids fun zone opens at 11:00 AM as does the festival Village. At noon, the music will be kicked off by Jo-El Sonnier and live music headliner Aaron Tippin. At 3:00 PM enjoy the Sarah Jayde Williams band. At 4:00 PM is the adult costume contest with a Mardi Gras beach parade, live music and fireworks to end the entire event at 7:00 PM.
