This year’s annual Pirates of the High Seas Festival will happen in Panama City Beach on October 7, 8, and 9, 2016. This is taking pirate play and fun to a whole new level. This festival is free and fun for the entire family. Attendees will enjoy scavenger hunts, a kids parade, live music, fireworks, pirate invasions, a main parade and a scavenger hunt.
Columbus Day weekend always brings the Pirates out for a fun filled adventure throughout the city. The event happens at Pier Park, located at 600 Pier Park Drive. The event typically start around 4:00 PM and ends around 1:00 PM on Sunday. There will be fun around every corner including sword-swinging showdowns, a dueling fireworks display, and two parades.
In the past, clues will be given to guide you to businesses that have different information on where prizes and price queens are hidden. This year proves to be no different with unique surprises, hidden scavenger hunts, adventures and fun for people of all ages.
FRIDAY
There will be live entertainment starting at 4:30 PM on Friday with magic with Capt. mayhem on the center stage. The festival Village and little Pirates funds will be happening at the grand theater Plaza with kids costume contests, kids parade at 5:30, opening ceremonies at 6:15 and the second line parade at 7:30 PM. Fireworks start at 8:30 PM.
SATURDAY
Saturday, the pilot adventures the kick off at 10:00 AM at the grand theater Plaza. If you live entertainment and music, the invasion of the Panama City Beach Pirates at 2:30 PM, the main parade at 5:00 PM at pier Park Drive and fireworks again at 8:30 PM.
SUNDAY
On Sunday, at the part of village opens at 12:00 PM at Capt. Anderson’s Marina. There will be the fishing clinic open at the Marina dock with live music a Capt. Anderson’s stage and the pirate and Grand Lagoon waterfront at 2:00 PM at the Grand Lagoon. The treasure hunt winner will be announced at the Capt. Anderson’s Marina stage and fireworks will begin at 7:00 PM at the Grand Lagoon.
