Whether you’re keeping it or tossing it back, there’s a fishing excursion for every level of experience and age.
Thinking of going scuba diving? Check out Divers Den in addition to Panama City Diving, Panama City Diving or Paradise Adventures. If you’re looking to dive deep and see some of the areas most interesting underwater creatures, this is one of the best ways to do it. Of course, you can stay at the surface as well with numerous snorkeling adventures and out in the ocean swimming adventures.
If you’re looking to completely stay above the water, check out one of the charter cruises such as the Lagoon Pontoons, Flippers dolphin tours and the fantastic Shell Island Blue Dolphin Tours. Relax on the boat as you sip a cold beverage and look out on our crystal green waters for some amazing dolphin adventures and maybe even a whale or two.
Speaking of Shell Island, this is a fantastic state park, not to be missed if you’re here for a few days. This is the named as one of America’s best beaches and it doesn’t matter what time of the year you visit, it offers a fantastic get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. This over 1200 acre park is located on a peninsula with over 1 ½ miles of beautiful beach in the Gulf of Mexico and the Grand Lagoon. There are numerous summer activities including bicycling, boating, camping, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, picnics, snorkeling and surfing. There’s a playground as well as numerous trails, interpretive exhibit and a nature center.
Just up the street is St. Andrews State Park, directly adjacent to Panama City Beach. This was named as one of the world’s best beaches and travel magazine and features over 1000 acres of sugary white sand, dunes and emerald green waters. There are numerous beach activities as well as beachcombing, wildlife viewing, camping and hiking. It’s also one of the best places for fishing in the area and includes opportunities such as deep-sea jetty and surf fishing. There are two fishing piers which provide excellent vantage points year round. You can catch a variety of different fish including macro, flounder, bonito, bluefish and sea trout.
MAN MADE – Things to do in Panama City Beach
If you’re looking for outdoor, man-made entertainment you want to check out Classic Rentals. Here you can check out mopeds, rent small golf carts and small vehicles to head around town in a buggy, scooter or whatever they offer. This is a great place to rent a small vehicle, perfect for families or couples.
If you’d like to stay away from the beach. This fantastic waterpark is located at 12201 Hutchison Blvd. and features an extensive children’s area, small pools called Tadpole Hole, dozens of water slides, the lazy river, wave pool, and a tree-lined shaded area that fills up most of the park. Enjoy a unique gift shop, food, water and fun.
There are a variety of minigolf options throughout Panama City Beach including Goofy Golf, Pirates Island and Hidden Lagoon, which also offers a go-cart racetrack. If you’re looking for outdoor adventure without a lot of risk, you’ll have to check out one of these minigolf options.
Of course many of the resorts have their own indoor adventures such as tennis courts, indoor swimming pools, hot tubs, relaxing spa’s complete with a variety of massage options and treatments,, dining options, arcades and more.
Wonderworks is a fantastic indoor option filled with over 100 interactive virtual physical and mental exhibits and challenges. The great way to spend a rainy afternoon with the family. Similarly, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum is similar to Wonderworks offering life-size figures of the world’s tallest man, weird and strange phenomenons and unusual stories that you have to see to believe.
Golf World Marine Park is open at 9:00 AM and is a great way to see local sea lions, sharks, dolphins and birds. The Sea Maze is an underwater adventure unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Step back into the set of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie and enjoy dead man’s chest, pieces of eight and bountiful pirate treasure only found in Davy Jones locker.
The IMAX Cinema is a great way to spend a rainy indoor afternoon in Panama City Beach. It’s located at the Grand Cinema and there’s always something unique playing at the IMAX.

Historic Downtown Panama City Beach

Summer Concerts Coming to Local Parks
All throughout Panama City and Panama City Beach this summer will be sound of hundreds of concerts and and beautiful beautiful music throughout area parks.
Here’s a list of some of the best concerts throughout Panama City and Panama City beach this summer.
The Front Porch Concert series is located at McKenzie Park in downtown Panama City on the third Thursday of each month through October. The concert will feature local music so bring a picnic dinner, kick back and enjoy. Concerts start at 6:30 PM.
Panama City Beach is Summer Concert Series will kick off on June 11 through August 13 at the Aaron Bessant Park located at 600 Pier Park Drive. The concerts will begin at 7:00 PM and you’re invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Groovin’ on the Green will be at the Carillon Beach Resort marketplace in Panama City Beach June 1 through September 7 starting at 7:00 PM.
The Lynn Haven Summer Concert Series will begin on June 9 through August 11 at Sheffield Park with music beginning at 6:30 PM.
Scenic 30A at Rosemary Beach will host brass bands twice a week throughout the summer.
Aly Beach Summer Concert Series has already begun and will continue through August 5 at 7:00 PM at the town amphitheater in Alys Beach.
The Seaside Summer Concert Series performs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend at 7:00 PM in the seaside amphitheater.
The Gulf Place Summer Sunday concert series will run June 7 through August 9 at Gulf Place on the corner of Scenic 30A and 393 in Santa Rosa Beach.
